This shawl combines traditional elements, classic triangular design, and an old Shetland lace stitch, with a contemporary straight edge border design. Here is the Amalie shawl in Madelinetosh Merino Light Fingering yarn (420 yards in Rainwater) in a shawlette size. I did seven repeats before starting the border instead of eight. It is just perfect for spring, summer (air-conditioned rooms), and fall.

Amalie is a free pattern and currently available through Ravelry.com.
